And then if the phone you have allows data tethering you can even use it as a portable modem for a laptop or something as well. At only 1 GB/month and no encryption so anyone can hijack your wifi this service sucks.

Re: GM Brings WiFi Access To Your New Vehicle

1 gig cap. But everyone has a laptop. Bring it along for instant internet. This would have made those 8 hour long trips so much nicer.

Re: GM Brings WiFi Access To Your New Vehicle

I've done some extreme things to have internet while in long car rides. This would be much easier.

Re: GM Brings WiFi Access To Your New Vehicle

It's too early for me to get that right now, plus I have German homework that I am attempting to focus on... Maybe I'll revisit this issue later. But for reals I do agree that there are quite a few devices that you can already to most of what you need on the road, but I do see that for families taking long trips something of this sort but portable, like the things offered by Sprint, VW, and AT&T would be more beneficial.

Re: GM Brings WiFi Access To Your New Vehicle

I often wonder how people afford all this stuff. iphones, iphones, ipho....Well, I can't think of any more examples right now but there are other examples. You can bet your bottom dollar on that. The sun will come out tomorrow too. Lets see if soldier will catch my vague reference.

Re: GM Brings WiFi Access To Your New Vehicle

I don't need it but a lot of businesses could use something like this.

Re: GM Brings WiFi Access To Your New Vehicle

I see a huge market for salesmen, and especially contractors, for this. Plenty of guys already work out of their pick-ups, adding a solid wi-fi system just makes that better.
