I saw a demonstration and it doens't have anything 'sticky' on it.  In fact, the bottom of it is rubbery, the gel is part of it's 'insides' and you don't put it on a speaker, they demstrated it on a table.  The kbox overtook the table's surface to turn it into a speaker it was a wee bit thicker than an iphone but, the same length and a wee bit narrower (the demonstration was with an iphone).
