  • The Healthcare industry is incapable of coping with the growing demand for hospital space. The Baby boomers are reaching seniorhood in the thousands each day. To avoid the need for many hospital visits many companies will be coming out with devices that allow for doctor interactions from a distance. celphones will be able to check heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose and more. Imaging devices will be used for wound care such as this device shown in this article. I used to work for a company based in Boston who is developing these devices because of the need for an alternative to expanding the current medical space.
  • I am a Professor in Plastic Surgery. I think this Aranz Medical Silhouette For Documenting And Tracking A Healing Wound is a very useful instrument in treating wounds. Because the treatment plan may be altered based on the data of this instrument. But surely I should check the pubmed if there are any medical experimental publications about this instrument.

  • Basically the idea behind the Silhouette is that a picture is worth a thousand words and while a nurse or caregiver might be skilled at documenting the healing progress in medical terms nothing beats an actual photo.
  • I just love reading these "scoops" in hindsight. The 40D has proven to be one hell of a product. Unless you're hung up on the fact it is not full frame, this camera is almost a perfect value. More rugged than the XTi, not as expensive as the 5D, and a nice step up from the 30D.

  • Special software running on the PDA can actually analyze the photos and provide a certain level of quantitative data about the wound but since the software is no replacement for a real doctor the data and photographs get stored in a central database that can be accessed from all over the world and further studied on a desktop system.
  • ithink it can ve a nice youtube video for it seems very logical
