I think Ecosol Inc. (out of Canada) is closer to a wireless reality... not the powerstick they're selling, but their 2 stage energy management platform. This platform converts variable DC input to regulated DC output (on the website www.ecosolinc.com under technology)

I'm becoming disappointed, 1 year later and they demo-ed the exact same thing when it comes to power at a distance (more than 1/2 cm that is). 3rd year in a row and they're still lighting up tiny lights connected to antennas.
