    How exactly does it work? Those lasers have some sort of auto leveling or what? Or are they just fixed "up" and "right" so you can make stight line in ... any direction.

    That's a first for me... Pretty useful, as well. Seeing as I couldn't draw a straight line to save my life.

    Probably has the same mechanism as a laster level would -- a series of inclined tilt switches, each at a different angle, to let you (or the chip inside the thing) know what constitutes "perpendicular to the center of mass of the planet".

    Never seen this before, and I work with mechanical things and tools by trade.

    Wake me up when Sear's has a robot that will drill the hole, hang the painting and then cook some dinner. I already have a robot that cleans my pool and he's the greatest thing since Atari.
