OhGizmo! Quick Review: The LG Chocolate Touch VX8575
Nothing new.
What better way to 1) reduce polution and 2) get better service and treatment.
But no, people like YOU are SHEEPLE.
In the regular line they check photo ID and boarding pass; in the Flyclear line they check clear card (with fingerprint or iris) and boarding pass, with extra helpers for getting your stuff into the bins etc. Then you go through the same sort of Xray machines - which is the real security. The fingerprint/iris scan thing is just window dressing.
BUT since most travellers won't shell out an extra $100/yr, the Flyclear line is shorter (and there is that extra help too). It's no different than early loading and better food for premium passengers, except that it's the govt granting the perks an d creating two level service for two levels of citizen.
Typical Bush admin approach - offer better service to those with more money and pretend it has something vaguely to do with security rather than money, and give an exclusive contract to a friendly private company to exploit this gov't created niche, rather than improve service for everybody (what does providing extra personnel to help premium customers fill their bins more easily have to do with preventing terrorism?)
Joe T, if the gov't isn't paying anything for this - are the extra helpers in the flyclear line TSA employees with all govt salaries and benefits, or FlyClear employees with special permissions to work inside the security area?
