The one vacuum that truly works is the Miele, which also truly traps the dust. My findings prove that the Miele Vacuum is completely sealed and really is HEPA.

I show how well the Miele vacuum works and truly traps the dust. My findings prove that the Miele Vacuum is completely sealed and really is HEPA.
Miele Vacuum Video As Featured on ABC 7 News
You can see from this video that the Miele will trap all of the particles in a cloth like bag that self-seals on its way out and you are actually purifying the air in your house by vacuuming! The filtration is 99.95% effective at 0.3 microns which is amazing. Thanks to its HEPA filter and super intensive clean bags the vacuum is able to achieve this kind of filtration.
Also check-out my blog called <a href="http://consumer-reporter.blogspot.com/

(length of time it takes to kill specific micro-organisms.)

Dust mites, the flu virus, lice, fleas & bacteria are killed in under a second of contact with the Ultraviolet light, mold takes slightly longer, at 1.1 seconds, and yes, we did test this out in a labratory setting. We wanted the right frequency of Ultraviolet light to be able to kill these organisms during regular vacuuming.

Any kind of light, even sunlight can bleach out carpets. However, if used as directed, the Halo UVX is safe to use on your carpets.

Studies show that vacuums do not suck up dust mites. They have little suction cups on their feet, which enables them to cling to the fibers of the carpet. Check out this link - it's from consumer reports, and they know what they are talking about :) http://www.prnewswire.com/c...

With the Halo, you kill the dust mites, which enables you to suck them up as well.

Happy shopping!

Sincerely,
Kate E. I have two questions about this vac....
1) How slow do you have to go to kill the DNA with this UV bulb? It would have to be really stong, and won't it hurt my floor?
2) It's only killing what's left behind...why not get a vac that will actually pick it up!

Nic

Re: Halo Vacuum Cleans & Kills With Ultraviolet Light

I also was one of the first to get one of these. works great. why didn't someone think of this sooner?

Re: Halo Vacuum Cleans & Kills With Ultraviolet Light

I got one of these things. I was impressed at first, but I really did not notice great performance. I actually had to pick the lint off of my rug to throw it out. How the heck did it not pick up lint???

Re: Halo Vacuum Cleans & Kills With Ultraviolet Light

Call me weird, but I think there may be such a thing as TOO clean! I think I heard that you need a few micro-organizisms hanging around so that your body can develop immunities etc to bigger "bugs". Too clean might leave us more vulnerable to bugs out there in the dirty, grimy real world.

Re: Halo Vacuum Cleans & Kills With Ultraviolet Light

so what happens when you aciddently turn it on yourself and get exposed to radiation?
