    sounds like a cool idea, though they would have to reduce it so that all the information is displayed in the handle, and it would have to be smart enough to know what you are trying to do. Some sort of intuitive user interface for the settings.

    Also, I have that same glass pot. Though it's not really glass, and they don't make them anymore because if you heat it up super high in the oven it explodes. It's really a shame though, i love that thing. It's great for cooking rice because you can see when there is no more water without opening it up. you can even get a little crust going on the bottom without burning the rice, which i love.

    Experienced cooks don't need this, and newbies will use it as a crutch which will prevent them from learning how to cook well.

    Plus it's probably going to be three or four times more expensive than a plain old spoon.

    I totally agree with you on this, I don't think an experienced would ever be interested in this thing, for the matter of fact even I would never require it at all, so you could consider me a good cook.
