  • Leave the brain cell in the bag and just slip the laptop out when you need it, that will be easier than pulling the whole cell out.
  • If you check out the Tom Bihn forums, you'll read a discussion of why they chose not to put feet on the bottom of the bag. Basically, feet feel like you're protecting your bag, but they don't really protect it, because the material isn't rigid enough, and it just sinks down around the foot and still touches the ground.
  • I'd bet the screen protector cloth was made for a MacBook keyboard. Any company that puts that much thought into design and function would surely have Macs in mind when they were designing their bags and accessories. If you want to get a cloth that fits, I suggest picking up a large roll of Microfiber cloth and cutting it to your exact specs.
  • Man, what a terrific review! Talk about being thorough! One suggestion, rather than so many screen shots, (no complaints though!) you might want to consider just filming a video and talking through it that way. Lot of people may not read all of the text, but they would watch the video. Just my two cents. Excellent job though, I think I'm going to get one for the laptop I'm typing on right now.
  • I would really love to buy this bag, but I fear that I might be too small for it. I'm 5'5 and I'm looking for a new bag for law school. There's the Zepher, but I'm not sure if it will be big enough for all my books and laptop (MBP 15"). What do you guys think?
  • While the Empire Builder is a fantastic bag, I only use it for travelling purposes since I find it too big for daily use, and I'm 6'2. I would definitely recommend something smaller if you intend to carry it to school every day. And while I haven't had a chance to try out the Zephyr, I would just recommend emailing the company and asking if your laptop and textbooks will fit. The company has great customer service and I'm sure they'd answer all your questions.
