Good to have joined the forum, sorry this is off topic.

"Homes are our immediate retreats from dizzying work days. One of the ways to achieve calming interiors is by choosing relaxing colors and muted lighting. White or light colors have a calming effect to the eyes and senses. However, overdoing the white walls might just create a too-sterilized ambiance. To keep away from being too dull, use highlights like gold or yellow here and there. For your lighting, dimmer lights and soft glows will not only relax your tired nerves but create drama in your interiors.
The placement of candles near mirrors, for instance, would replicate the soft glow and add to that romantic feeling."

Re: Samsung’s 16GB [That's actually "Gb" -Ed] Memory Chip

Nice resource!
http://pharmacy.elutr.org/m... pharmacy online
Best regards

Re: Samsung’s 16GB [That's actually "Gb" -Ed] Memory Chip

Uh, guys, this is what is in the iPod nano...2 of them for 4GB.

Re: Samsung’s 16GB [That's actually "Gb" -Ed] Memory Chip

You are correct in that it is Gigabits and not gigabytes. But what you are missing is that these chips are not used independantly, but instead are aligned together in groupings of 8 or 16 when used in a device like an SD card. So the 16 Gb chips will allow for compact flash cards that hold 16 or 32 Gigabytes of data. Devices with other form factors could hold many many times that amount.

Re: Samsung’s 16GB [That's actually "Gb" -Ed] Memory Chip

I wanted to blog about this when i first saw the news on BUSINESS WIRE, i thought it was 16GB but then i figured out it's 16Gb, without knowing what's good with NAND flash, i thought this is not a big deal, thanks for the link to samsung's NAND page :)

Ermm.. I guess you made a mistake there (or maybe i'm wrong if the picture you showed is the combined chip), that cheap alone can't hold data equivalent to 200 years of a newspapers archive, 8,000 digital music files or 32 hours of DVD-quality music files on a single chip. That is achieved by combining up to 16 such devices on a single card, giving a total of 32GB memory.

Re: Samsung’s 16GB [That's actually "Gb" -Ed] Memory Chip

oops! title should read 16Gb... its still a breakthrough, although 16 GB would have meant a stampede

Re: Samsung’s 16GB [That's actually "Gb" -Ed] Memory Chip

It's 16Gb (gigabit, Gib), not 16GB *gigabyte, GiB).

16Gb = 2GB
