    Is this specifically aimed (hah!) at the German-speaking market?

    "Ein Schuss Pfeffer" is "a shot of pepper" (a dash, a pinch).

    German comedian Otto Waalkes literally adds a "shot" of pepper to his soup in one of his movies.
