I would like to know the price of the unit. I would also like to know whats the capacity.. ie.. the optimum area in sqft that gets cooled by one unit.

Such a stupid idea. You can put solar panels anywhere to supplement the whole house, not just one peice of equipment! What about when the AC isn't running? The solar panel is going to waste!!
