You can put solar panels anywhere to supplement the whole house, not just one peice of equipment!  What about when the AC isn't running?  The solar panel is going to waste!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is the same company that brings you tire valve stems that will reduce your gas mileage by 10-25%.  Yeah.  Right.
