  I was looking at that thinking "that's actually quite a nice looking car". Then it dawned on me that it's a pretty serious rip off of a Lotus Elise, although obviously has a few differences. Either way, nice to see 1. An American car with some style (sorry to my friends across the pond) and 2. An innovative company doing something worthwhile and pushing the envelope. Who'd have thought you could get to 60 in 4 seconds and pull 250 Miles from an electric car? Fantastic.

  matthew, it does have a resemblance to the Elise, but that's because Lotus Engineering designed it. technically, the car is longer than the elise, and all the body panels are different. but the elise profile is still there. i guess if they created a car totally from the ground up, it would've cost more.

  250 miles vs 0-60 in 4 seconds.
  
  250 miles is based "On the EPA highway driving cycle". Which probably means, that if you punch it and do 0-60 in under 5 seconds, you may not have enough charge left to drive back....
  
  That said, I'm all for electric vehicles with style!

  Looks great. 90k bucks is a bit steep though. I'd like to see what's under the hood.

  Tesla Motors' FAQ says that the pack will last for 500 full cycle charges. I've see other estimates for LI-ION packs that say they'll last 2000 cycles on an 80% degree of discharge cycle (see http://www.valence.com/ucharge.asp).
