I bought a rechargeable electric toothbrush for $25 last week. They are not much more expensive than battery-powered ones, and much better for the environment as you don't have to discard disposable batteries.

Don't the heads on some electric toothbrushes cost as much as a normal middle-of-the-range toothbrush? I guess this invention lets you use a cheap toothbrush in the electric socket & permits you to change around the head to a completely different style if you feel like a bit of variation. ;)

just a guess but sonicare replacement heads are $25 for two on amazon. I suppose you could find them cheaper, but a $1-$3 manual toothbrush and this thing is pretty compelling.
