My laptop has a card-reader, but my desktop doesn't and I don't see any point in buying one. But the desktop is where I store the pictures, so everytime I want to download them I have to find the cable, plug it in, deal with the suckyness of Canon (maybe all cameras?) that I have to keep the directory in the camera open so I can transfer my photos...&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;That being said, this particular camera does nothing for me.
