The cutaway image above is actually of the original model which is a bit larger than the production model that is available on the website. It originally had a 24g gas canister that is covered with a metal sleeve, but it was heavy and awkward so the design you see in the picture on the lower right is the actual knife. That too can hold a 24g cartridge as well as a 12g cartridge but the design is different and a LOT easier to hold.

the optical illusion thing is strange, but if you look at the drawing and see that there is no cannister, only the empty space for one, the drawing looks correct.
