OhGizmo!: Private: Flashlight Garden Nozzle
-
Scott · 11 months agoSerious question: Why doesn't it just use the water pressure to power the LEDs?
-
tomlor · 11 months agoBecause then it would shoot/leak water even when you don't squeeze the handle, the same reason why a dam lets water through to generate electricity. If you plug it up the water doesn't go anywhere and you can't do work.
-
tomlor · 11 months agoThough if you don't mind the flashlight only working when you squeeze the handle then I suppose you could. Though I couldn't begin to tell you how much electricity you could generate from a garden hose and what the effect that would have on your water pressure is...

Claire · 11 months agoI would count this is one of those "interesting idea, but I'll never use it for its intended purpose" products. When I need a hose, it's always in the daylight, but I would imagine that this could be useful for some people

JF · 11 months agothe light *should* be powered from the flow of water!!! it could spin a little flywheel and power the leds like those hand crank flashlights. hm, maybe I should apply for a patent on that]! ;)
