I am like you, I crave new stuff and I believe a lot of people will try it once and it will show signs of early success.

I don't believe this will bring hordes of people back in the theatre (maintaining them would already be a big plus though, but 7$ EXTRA?).

The new factor is a big plus and a much needed revamp for theatres, kudos for having the balls to come out with this, but let's do basic maths, add up 3D, 3$, cost of a ticket + cost of a popcorn + drink + this times 2 or 3 or 4 for the family, 28$ EXTRA just for shaking seats for the average family... this alone is the price of a DVD or Blu-ray that the kids can watch and re-watch...

If people cut on the popcorn or drinks in order to balance their budgets, the theatre has an actual 0 profits (in fact, negative, since a portion probably goes to the manufacturer and popcorn costs nothing) At that rate, I hope they are counting on bringing this down to 2-3$ and are just creaming the early adopters.
