OhGizmo!: TV Armor Is A Must-Have For Parents With LCD Or Plasma TVs

Anyone can make a polycarbonate shield like this for a 50" TV for less than $50. There are plenty of plastic distributors all over the country. All you need is a heat gun (rent one from a tool rental) to bend the stuff, a jigsaw (use tape on the saw as well as the plastic) and maybe some polycarbonate cement. Even if you messed the first try up you'd still be ahead of the game by a long $$$$hot.

    See what I did there?

It's true that many people could make this cover themselves, I agree, but you know how it is - in a world where people are short of time, they will pay that sort of money to have someone else make it for them. Maybe a little sideline for you mcman?

Bought it after a Wii 'incident' - don't even know its there, but I do know I want have to spend $2000 again....I do know that I don't want to spend time in my garage heating up polycarbonate and cutting plastic with a jigsaw - just by it all ready to go!
